This is my initial post on my blog and I am super excited for this first step going forward. Setting up a blog can be pretty confusing at certain times – especially if you know nothing about computers like me! This is why my first post contains Helpful Hints For Starting A Blog. Helpful Hints for Starting a Blog On WordPress

4 WordPress Plugins that I recommend to download from the start:

  • Ultimate Social Media Icons: This plugin allows you to set social media icons all over your website and makes it easier for your visitors to share your content.
  • AMP: This plugin decreases the loading speed on your website and will have less people waiting for you post to load!
  • Yoast SEO: I highly suggest this one, because it shows you how high your heading ranks when you search it. It also shows you lots of things in the analysis area under your post what you have to change on your post to make it easier to find.
  • FB Comments: This will allow people to comment from their Facebook profile and increase comments.

I would also recommend to sign up to ShareASale.

Even if you don’t have many visitors yet, you could already place affilliate links all over your posts. This way you don’t have to go back to all of your posts and add them later on. It will save you lots of time (trust me, I know what I’m saying…I made that mistake). You don’t have to go back to each post and add them when your site does get more visitors… this affiliate website ShareASale has lots of vendors from different companies (Minted, Dollar Tree, Luvyle, Cricut, Gymboree etc.) You can apply for each vendor seperately and choose one that fits to your specific niche.

Also, don’t worry if you have no visitors yet – ShareASale only pays you when you hit $50 or more. Like I said, great affiliate site for beginners!

I downloaded the plugin Affiliate Links on WP to keep me organised with all the links and different banners. And I’m glad I did It helps me out so much!

Let me know if this helped you in the comments down below and keep browsing my other posts 🙂 xoxo
