These days i’m just terribly busy. I mean, super super busy, I just don’t find the time to post anything. So today I decided I had to take time no matter what. Here I am, laundry half way finished and my baby patiently waiting for me to play with her (that’s ok cause I usually take the time for her too). Ahhh, the life of a mother. Click To TweetYou can never finish all your work and we only have child #1! There’s definitely more to come…..how will life be then?! Anyways, let’s get to the point…because I have finally found time to share a post with you, i’m really excited to share with you this DIY Infinity Nursing Scarf For Beginners in 30 minutes!
This is yet ANOTHER of my fast DIY’s; which is good, considering that we all don’t ever have time. Working full or part time, caring for your family and the household and making time for fun and friends there isn’t much time left for crafting or sewing. Therefore I love when my DIY’s are fast and easy! Let’s get started:
What you need:
- 1 yard or 91.5cm of Knit Fabric
- Fabric Scissors
- Sewing Machine
3. Sew along the edges. After that, cut the corners diagonally and the leftover from the sides. It sucks to have extra fabric on the inside. I used my fabric scissors I bought from the dollar store – and they work excellent! Just as good as my mom’s expensive ones. I would totally recommend them to anybody that is starting out.4. Now take the open side and sew a boarder. That means, take the edges and flip them over just a bit so we can later attach both pieces together.5. Great, we’re almost done! Take your iron and iron along the edges. This sets the fabric in place. Especially with knit fabric which is so stretchy, it helps out a lot on your last step.
6. Next you will want to take the edge that is nicely closed off and put it into the open end like this:
7. Pin it into place.8. Finally sew along the end and you are all finished! A great, double layered nursing cover which works great as a scarf!
